My wife was adamant that KFC was a "Thai restaurant "

We argued this for years 

We were at Gulliver's on Soi 5 and they had an old photo of a Kentucky Fried Chicken

So I brought her over to show her that it was an American restaurant 

She said "that's not KFC" 555

I like it myself in Thailand once in a while

Same here, I never eat in France, too expensive and doesn't even taste that good.
