That does not happen in the UK. There is no outbound Immigration checks in the UK, hence they have no idea how many leave as opposed to stay. They tried to introduce such checks some years ago, but abandoned the idea shortly after. UK Airlines and ferries are obliged to check and record outbound passenger details, but not foreign carriers and the list is only kept for 60 days. -

I do not disagree with the pruported reason for having gambling illegal in Thailand Illegal gambling is perceived as a threat to family stability In 2023 the Government Lottery Office collected 169 Billion baht. Approximately 47. 3 billion was passed on to the government after deduction for operating the plan. I do not know how much legalizing gambling would affect these #'s but I imclined to believe the government has no desire to find out.
