I got locked into a bathroom one time,  because one of those stupid push button door knobs failed and then the internal bits collapsed so the keys had no effect.  They are common here. We tried everything, me inside, wifey outside, to no avail.  In the end, it took my muscle power to break down and strip out the door lock, taking half of the door frame with it.  It took a lot of effort.  I was mighty pissed off as you can imagine.  I would think that for an elderly, infirm person, alone in the house,  it would be as scary as hell. We changed all of those push button door handles after that.

Dying on the toilet is common, even with the door unlocked.

My garmin wristband records heartbeat. Maybe a better model could call somebody if it stops completely

I got locked in the bathroom at a bar in Patong for a good 15mins

The music was too loud so no one could hear me

I was in there a good 15mins and man was it hot!

They were super apologetic....

I wasn't all that mad.....found it funny

But any longer in that heat would have sucked
