A man’s leg was blown off in a bomb explosion while he was working in a rubber plantation in Narathiwat, a province in Thailand’s Deep South near the Malaysia border where small bombings and attacks happen occasionally due to the religious separatist insurgency. A woman’s face was also injured in the explosion. The Post seems to have a problem using the the correct description  'religious separatist insurgency' not the Baptists, Hindus or Buddhists is it! It should read ISLAMIC separatist insurgency, or jihad. Why try to sugar coat it?

Why try to sugar coat it? Subservient political correctness . . . what else?

I think they’re Malay Insurgents who just happen to be Muslim. 
 

Reminds me of a UK article warning about the rise of “militant buddhism”. The only problem with the article is their examples. They used Thai state soldiers, who happen to be Buddhists but not driven by Buddhist ideology, stationed to defend schools, markers and roads against Malay Insurgents   .

No, they'd just change the rules again, so 1,000 new Covid cases and 3 insurgency attacks a month became the new acceptable norm. The 'Sandbox' is Thailand flagship for the return of tourists and nothing is going to stop it from being hailed as a successes regardless of what happens, as they'd lose to much 'face' in making a U-turn.
