Let's make no mistake here, this is a foreign teacher. It's a foreign teacher, not any other kind.  A foreign teacher!  Remember that they are talking about a foreign teacher.

Geez, how many times do we need to see that phrase in one story?

Talk about agenda writing.

Certainly bears further investigation ie has this guy been reported before in previous employments? Has anyone apart from this girl and her friends made any allegations? Have any of the other teachers noticed anything suspicious about this teacher? Not saying that he hasn't done it or that he has as it is pretty hard to determine but I would be suspicious if it were just this one group making allegations as it is hard to believe that a groper would limit his activities to just one group of friends.

And there you have everything that's wrong with the Thai education system, such as it is, cover up after cover up, after cover up, plus victim shaming, while parents make every effort to get action from those in charge, but get none. The Nationality of the accused is immaterial, it's the actions, or none actions, of the school authorities, the National Education Authorities and the Police.  A proper independent investigation can determine the truth of any allegations.  Brushing it all under the carpet as 'just a misunderstanding, an accident', (so, if reported correctly, he (?) doesn't deny it, just excuses it !) does not cut it.

Because pedophiles are known to escape to Thailand (and south east asia) and carry out their disgusting activities away from countries they are more likely not to be trusted. There is a huge amount of trust in teachers here,

What? They are almost universally useless. What are you talking about? No wonder the Thai education system fails its students if you and others can't see what is clearly in front of you all. Go to other Asian counties, the successful ones, see how its done.  Start by only employing certificated (UK PGCE Level) and trained (at least 2 years)  teachers, an almost invisible minority in Thailand. A TEFL or similar doesn't cut it.  I got mine online in 2 weeks !! No, I never taught here, or English anywhere. because I'm not qualified to do so.
