THe article gives  advice contrary to normally recommended procedures..

 

" if someone is stung by a box jellyfish, they should immediately use a hard object to scrape the tentacles off the skin." - this is said to increase the possibility of death.

It is recommended that VINEGAR is poured over the tentacles BEFORE any attempt to remove them - this is to paralyse the envenomation  nematocysts., which will release more .venom if agitated by attempted removal
