The mother is supposed to advise and guide the daughter to be a better person. Knowing the character of her daughter freqently skipping school and roaming around, what action did the mother took to correct the daughter? It is the mother who should be blamed for this entire issue.

Sounds like a 'she did it to me - it was not my fault' defence that is atypical of a teenager.  Probably not her first time doing the deed me thinks - just the first time caught.
