I'm not sure why either manufacturer was wise in thinking they could make inroads into the Thai market with their vehicles.

If they were just manufacturing here and exporting to other markets, it might make some sense but there isn't enough of a domestic market for the number of manufacturers that set up shop here.

How many have left now?  Chevrolet left, now these two.  I'm not sure if others have already folded their tents.

I don't see how this would influence "investor confidence" in the auto industry, though.  It's just the market shaking itself out.
