1-1 full-time

Well, that didn’t work out so well…

One game to go.

Thailand needs to beat Singapore by a couple of goals and hope China gets rolled by S.Korea.

Would be good to see Thailand progress…

Holding off China which generously funds its sports programs is worth acknowledging as a moral victory.

That was my first thought as I saw the final score.

Hats off to this new coach.  He really is delivering good results, so far.  A great improvement over previous coaches.

I think South Korea would be delighted to dump China out of the World Cup.

If they could beat them (in Seoul) by a paltry 3-0, that would mean that any victory for Thailand over Singapore (at Rajamangala) would put them through.

South Korea already beat China 3-0 in Beijing, and Thailand won 3-1 away to Singapore. But these things don't always go to plan, and it may be that Thailand will rue their earlier 2-1 loss to China at Rajamangala, despite yesterday's efforts.

All to play for on Tuesday.

Thailand vs Singapore in Bangkok

S.Korea vs China in Seoul

Thailand must win, China must lose

Spot on. Thailand out on head to head vs China after both teams finished on the same points, same goals scored and same goals conceded.

And Ikhsan Fandi, who scored the fateful Singapore goal, plays his club football in Thailand at BG Pathum Thani.

No doubt he will find overcooked noodles in his boots when he gets back to the club.
