Jabs for the elderly Expats seem to be available more and more - I wonder why? Who says all those complaints from Expats in Thailand did not get results - they are wrong.  Back channel 'talks' and donations of doses, all resulted from the Expats that complained - and the media attention that followed.  Western Govts know to make dictatorships do something, it is best not to 'front' them and make them lose face - back channel talks will often be far more likely to yield a result - especially if it includes something like donations.

No. Bangkok Pattaya Hospital is providing AstraZeneca jabs this month for folks over 60.

Well that must cover a few more but just a small proportion of the total country wide

At least they're trying. I think the whingeing and whining finally caught the attention of those in the ivory towers.

      News Forum - Thai woman trapped in Dubai seeking 100k ransom, desperate parents plead for help

      I don't believe for a minute she didn't know she was going to be working as a prostitute in a massage parlor. It's common knowledge that Thai women go to Dubai to work as prostitutes, and there have been so many cases in Thai news about this sort of thing. It's hard to believe an unskilled worker thought it was a legit job when they offered to pay for her visa and plane ticket and give her a very high salary. What likely happened is she thought her clientele would be rich glamorous Dubai citizens and tourists, but when she arrived she was horrified to find out the actual clientele ranges from Indian workers to young Saudis and such, and the way they treat women is rough. So she wanted out. Her employers paid a lot of money to get her a visa and bring her there. A month and a half of work won't cover that, so they want her to either keep working, or pay them enough to make it worth letting her go. In any case - the ones paying for her mistakes shouldn't be the Thai public (government). It should be her and her family. This trend of parents begging to bring their children home after they made ridiculous errors in judgement is kind of like the GoFundMe beggars we see with British tourists who drive bikes with no license, no insurance, no helmet. No sympathy for people who dug their own grave.

      Time to dissolve the Catholic Church

      I've been saying this for years I come from Catholic family I went to Catholic school But I haven't been to a mass in over 30 years And I've been saying it should be disbanded I've recently made the decision I will never step foot in a church for any reasons Weddings.....I will see you at the reception Funerals.....I will mourn you on my own terms(this one will be tougher than Weddings) But I told my sister because her 2 sons are getting married next year And my other sister was upset as well I didn't say it too forcefully But I pointed out they have kids, all the Catholics have kids And they all just shrug off these massive abuses It's shocking to me

      Years ago correct, for Patpong it was a mass cop sweep and they just shutdown the area. Sometimes they were way more aggressive than other times but they cleared out both Soi. Not sure why they didn’t really drug test but envelopes stuffed and connections probably played a role in it. I was there a lot at one time when it was fun to be there. One place was called the Tavern. That was just doing a an on the surface lip march service on the direct order from Thaskin I believe. Sort of had an immunity I guess where Thaskin on other areas had his hit squads. What is the difference between Duterte and Thaskin, not much. Well they randomly have always hit up nightclubs so I wouldn’t exactly just point this on the bad Chinese being targets. They still hit up venues and it is an indecent human right violation how I have always looked at it.
