So, it is the low prices that leads to this confescations. Next time they should not sell for extremely low price. May be can give 20% discounted price.

I merely ask because a while back there was a similar problem in the UK and the unsafe equipment all came from China.

Most mobile phones, hi-fis, car electronics etc etc are made in China selling all over the world. 

Some is safe, some is not. You get what you pay for.

It’s one thing I’ve become aware since moving here. You can buy things really cheap here. And the really cheap things are absolute rubbish- landfill grade rubbish. Which begs the question as to why they were manufactured in the first place.

To make the manufacturers, importers and sellers a lot of money.

Bugger the safety of the customers.

Because apart from a few well publicised seizures such as the one reported here the Thai authorities are very lax on the safety of good sold in Thailand and there is a lot of money in producing cheap crap for sale here.
