Nonthaburi. I sometimes stay at AirBnb (some do not do a TM30). Driver license is in USA (but have IDP). My understanding is that I do not need a Thai license. -

News Forum - Japan dethrones Thailand as top tourist spot
Japan has it all over Thailand with its bullet trains. I’m not sure about the welcoming of independent travellers though. Kyoto residents are sick to death of tourists swarming through residential areas with camera in hand to the extent that certain popular neighbourhoods have been cordoned off.
