"Channel 3 reported that police charged Pitchada under Section 378 of the Criminal Law: putting herself in a state of drunkenness by consuming of alcoholic beverage or other intoxicant substance, and causing troubles in public places. The penalty is a fine of up to 5,000 baht."

No mention of a drunk driving charge or assault on police charge? 5000THB for causing an accident whilst driving drunk then attempting to assault the victim and the police. No wonder there are so many deaths on Thailands roads with paltry penalties like this being dished out.
