Today, crystal methamphetamine and opioid patches have been found inside packages destined for Australia. The crystal methamphetamine was found inside a monk’s pillow. The drug pillow and other drug package were discovered by Thailand’s Office of Narcotics Control Board at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport. The drugs were found in 2 parcels and contained 490 grams of crystal methamphetamine secreted away in an orange monk pillow, nestled among other pieces of religious paraphernalia. Safe to say that neither package carried a sender's address. ONCB Secretary General Wichai Chaimongkhon must be scratching his head (or worse) with this one.

Desperate times call for desperate measures including Monks. I watch a lot of Border Security programmes covering just about everywhere on the planet. The lengths and ingenuity of the cartels will go to is unbelievable. No age, agenda, status or otherwise is exempt to use as mules. Drug trafficking is a very serious (and potentially lucrative 'business'). We are talking Billions in USD/GBP annually. South America it's Coke, Middle East and Asia it's Heroin.

I guess this Monk will be looking elsewhere for divine intervention. It's sad but a current fact of our society i.e. Australia want it so it comes from  Asia/Middle East. USA want it so it goes via Mexico. Supply and demand. Forget the white powder or brown powder, when in Thailand, neck a few Leo's, when in Cuba gargle with a few Mojito's (but only in La Bodeguita Del Medio), Hemingway's chosen watering hole or Floridita for your Daquiri (Hemingway again).

Just keep off the illicit substances, I've had to deal with the aftermath and family disintegration too often (professionally).

Where does it say there are monks involved, you can go down to MonksRus and purchase these items, no Monk ID required.

Clearly somebody thought use monks items less chance of it being stopped, how wrong they were.

Amazing how people come up with different schemes to traffic drugs, some folk smuggle drugs, then claim that its flour.?

The clear alibi would have been to tell the cops it was MSG for your mamas somtam cart, then smoothly palm over 100 baht bill folded between the "wai"......The Illusion of LOS once again reveals its truths.

Well the next ruse will be they they use Monks as mules. We only recently saw the report of a Monk found with drugs so it will be just another business opening for them.
