Yes, let's see what S-M can do for me tonight, with Vardy having already rewarded @Slacker77's faith in him. With Saturday's 7 matches done & dusted, netting me a measly 10 points, I can only take the incurable optimist's view that, as the renowned Holocaust victim, Anne Frank, famously said, "Where there's hope, there's life . . . ", knowing that, even though my five players only averaged 2 points apiece (i.e. they did at least turn up and put a shift in), my remaining 6 players, including Townsend, Zaha, Antonio and Saint-Maximin, are going to average at least 8 points each and put lowly Wonnaplay up there among the Pasar Rebo's, Athletico's and Inter MiNan's, since they've only got 2 players still to perform  .

Remind me please, @BigHewer, how does that saying go . . .

KC, I think this is yet another veggies and steak scenario. All the best stuff is to come for you. Saint-Maximin will do the business. I was about to make a wisecrack about you persisting with Digne but thought better of it; this is a sure sign he will also deliver the goods

And today it won't be so many more points tough i only have 1 player in action ,Pickford !

but i had 2 great weeks in a row now and want more 

will miss the toffees game today on the telly as they play the same time as my swedish team (Hammarby) playing derby with 30000 on the stands ,will be great to be there after 1.5 years with empty stands

Pickford for me, too. Only problem is I've got big hopes on West Ham's Antonio bagging a hat-trick! Sometimes, you just can't win.

Afraid not. I can't cope with the often "pure randomness" element of the game. Of course, if it were like real life and I was being paid £2 mill a year for being an absolutely crap manager and getting huge pay-outs every time I got sacked, I'd ask, "Where do I sign"?

Hi Guys!   For better or worse, here are the Game-week 8 numbers and, with 7 FPL players scoring over 50 this time, that's had more than a little effect on the league positions, none more so than Maximum characters whose 79 score is going to take some beating!

You'll see that, in addition to team names, I've shown both member I/Ds as well as their team names. This reveals that, of the 14-strong TT league membership, 7 players have kept their member I/D secret - the Secret Seven, no less! - so it will be interesting to see how the S-S perform, across the entire season, as compared to the known players - The Aficionados, for want of a more fitting name.

Yes KC, there seems to be a divide in the league and I like your terminology, the Secret Seven and the Aficionados. Will any of the Secret Seven step into the light before season’s end I wonder?

Another nerve-wracking and frustrating week for FPL managers, with Ronaldo, Lukaku and Antonio all blanking. Also, several key players not featuring at all: Williams, Bissouma and Benrahma (ok, they are only “key” because they are all in my squad). Well done to Maximum Characters, who blew us all away with a fine score.

Fine margins, though. If @Lowseasonloverhad captained Firmino and had his three benched players in action, he would have won the game week. But anyway, game week top 8 in full (score, overall ranking, number of game weeks won)

Ha-ha . . . now I do know how you've got the TC chip showing!   It's not your chip that's the wrong colour, it's those pesky chip details that have got the blue and green transposed. But no worries, I'll sort that on Monday with the W9 update.

Yes, I see the riskiness there, @BigHewer, with Leeds, albeit at home, against a fairly feisty Wolves squad of late . . . but do please remind me not to 'tch-tch', if Gray out-scores him. As you'll recall from LMS, I'm pretty sure Everton are going to turn Watford over !
