If they insist it is not political motivated then it is political motivated. As we could followed always they insisted that that the truth is not true. They had always the same tactics . Latest insist was abot the 10 millions astra per month instead the 3 millions in the contract. Even everything was debunked they insisted it is 10 millions per month. And so on, always they insisted it is not , it was that. But it is amazing that they still think that everybody believe anything from permanent liars.

 . . . banning all mass gatherings, . . .

The one thing that this gestapo of a government is consistently good at. Fxxk the vaccines . . . they need lots of money which we ain't got, but banning gatherings only needs big mouths . . . we got plenty of those!

" you can fool some people sometimes, but you cannot fool all the people all the time, get up stand up, stand up for your rights! "

Ooh boy. Let's increase the jail terms to 2 years so they all can catch the virus behind bars. why stop at 2 year? I for one believe them that this is only for the good of the people, and why should they the common peons be allowed to protest and spread the evil virus when they who are the chosen ones are doing such a fine job with also having the moral majority of the country backing their Junta and Elite g o v.

I fail to see how they can stop it, apart from closing all main routes into BKK

And this is when a combined effort of 500,000 could bring about change being requested by many Thais , but I doubt unlike those living in the USSR or East Germany at those times , it will happen here any time soon.

For any of you from the west, don't knock Thailand they are just doing what the "western democracies" are doing. See lockdowns with military in Oz, Berlin freedom protesters getting beaten up by thug polizei and the stifling of any dissent by big tech in the USSA.

True, who wants to 'protest' when there's nothing to eat?

Bangkok's streets expose Southeast Asia's new divides

Throughout the region, the pandemic is causing suicides, widening inequality and growing unrest

The cognitive dissonance is fun to watch. The mental gymnastics required to perform such function is surely worthy of the gold.

That is proof that they are able of some foresight , ( prevoyance ) , at least when it suits their own interests .

Pity they haven't been able to do that with their handling of the pandemic ...

However, the government insists that car mobs are also in violation of the emergency decree, pointing out that the public is being asked to stay home and avoid non-essential travel in order to curb the spread of the virus.

Public stay at home, so how do they get to the mass gatherings they call vaccinations? Next you know the Govt protests will turn up at the vaccination centres, as government does not treat those areas as an area of social distancing, as proven by photos published on news sites. If they want proper social distancing at the vaccination sites, maybe get the Immigration Department to run the show, at least the showed some sort of pre-planning.

I regret that I have to agree. The way the yellow vest protesters where treated in France, the querdenker movement in Germany or the people in Catalonia (Spain) where beaten up when trying to vote peacefully for their independence says it all. There is no real difference with Thailand, besides the fact that the Thai government is recognisable as a military dictatorship and western governments still try to keep up the appearance of a functioning democracy. Although lately they don't even pretend that to much.

Watch closely how Covid will be used to squash any kind of protest movement going forward. Any large gathering of resistance to governments whether in Thailand or elsewhere will be labeled super spreading events.

Its true though, they are such events. Unfortunate though it is. The timing is wrong and the numbers arent there however they doctor the pictures.
