This is not unique if it's the colon graft procedure first invented for natal females suffering extreme vaginal problems. I don't see how this could occur, with the standard skin graft technique, which is less expensive but cannot guarantee lubrication. Needless to say, the mucosa of the human colon is not a match for the natural vaginal lining, and after a successful surgery, it can ooze or smell.

Difficulties with healing are usually the 'fault' of the body, but who knows if aftercare was properly provided, or sufficient info passed to the patient beforehand. I will say one thing, that with this procedure, dilation is discouraged lest the fragile, healing tissues be damaged.

Isn't all medicine against nature?

This is not 'medicine', its surgical mutilation. akin to the genital mutilation  of young  females in backward societies.  Okay if you want to take the risk, but risk it is.

What was against nature? Did you review the patient's medical file?

Of course not...our comments are just based on what we read in the article. if the article is having genuine informations then what we discuss is genuine. If the article is otherwise, the it goes the same way.

Only if there isn't underlying pathology. Otherwise the creation of briefings for natal women, for which it is indicated, would also not be medicine. BTW castration was rare in SE Asia, historically as it was in pre-Islamic S Asia, the region that steered by exanple, the direction of most SE Asian cultures.

The sex change surgery of today is, were it not obvious, a modern thing, following western preceents. But it fits nicely into how Thailanders see the matter, ie. congenital not constructed, conformism not expressivism. It is not in the least primitive, and the way of thinking of the healthcare as cosmetic, is healthier than western I distance that it 'assigns' someone.
