Buying a new car in Phuket

We are Sandboxing in Phuket in about 3 weeks, hopefully its still going

we need to get to Pranburi  just south of Hua Hin ,as we are moving there permanently

As i was going to buy a car up there anyway, is it possible ? to buy a car in Phuket so i have "wheels " both in Phuket and for the trip up there

How long does it take to do the registration etc

and yes i have all the necessary papers , including my address in Thailand, or do i need more.

Can this be done

Sure why not.  You can actually register a car without a thai license but will need proof of residency, id etc.
