The situation escalated when Somchai threatened police officers, prompting them to shoot him six times, hitting him in the legs and nearby areas.

Shot 6 times and not 1 head shot. The RTP are useless.

Armed police, and soldiers, are trained to fire at the center of the body, so as to minimize misses.  Head shots are in movies, or in very close situations by Special Forces, such as the poor Brazilian chap (innocent) on the London tube some years back. RTP were doing what they are no doubt trained to do.  I find the RTP to be generally very restrained in their use of firearms, as opposed to many of those homicidal idiots in the US Cops for example.

Well done The RTP for doing exactly what they should be doing neutralising an armed threat whilst minimising Civilian casualties.

It makes me envious as in my native UK when Armed Response Officers do their job they're chased down by an army of Left-Wing Lawyers and Activists who want them charged no matter the circumstances or the criminal history of the perpetrators.
