Depigmented colour morphs leave snakes in the wild, vulnerable to predation at smaller sizes. So my assumption is the snake belongs to a domesticated strain, and is used to human presence and handling. King cobras might be deadly but they are also snakes with a sweet temperment, and high intelligence. So they would not bite a familiar handler.

A snake, like a crocodile, doesn't have any affection. (Or hatred.)
