A new Covid outbreak has spread across China

A new Covid outbreak has spread across China, increasing concerns about the country's vulnerability to the extremely contagious Delta form, according to local media.

 

Within a 10-day period, more than 300 cases were discovered.
The outbreak has dominated local headlines, and the country's leading respiratory diseases expert has allegedly expressed significant alarm.

The government has implemented new travel restrictions, although authorities claim that more than 1.6 billion doses have been administered so far, it is unclear how many people in China have been fully vaccinated.

A total of 15 provinces and municipalities have confirmed cases, with 12 of them linked to an outbreak that started in Nanjing, Jiangsu province in eastern China. The Delta variation and the domestic tourism season, according to authorities, are to blame for the spread.

Despite the fact that the number of cases is much lower than in other areas, China is seeing its largest outbreak in months, despite the fact that the virus was mostly contained within its borders last year.

 

Cases first surfaced in Nanjing airport in July, among workers cleaning a jet that had come from Russia. Authorities tested 9.2 million Nanjing residents and placed hundreds of thousands of people under lockdown.

However, during the weekend, the focus shifted to Zhangjiajie, a renowned tourist site in central Hunan province where several of the most recent cases have surfaced. Nanjing visitors were thought to have lately visited the city. Officials from the Ministry of Health have pinpointed a theatre in Zhangjiajie and are now attempting to locate roughly 5,000 people who attended shows and then returned to their home cities.

Who knows what else Chinese media, social media bots did to push the narrative and throw the world into this mess. I an NOT saying Covid is not serious but somehow China (who is not using our supposedly superior mRNA vax) has not lost millions of people to this, has kept the factories going to supply the world and at this point looks to be coming out the clear winner in all of this.

I have a friend in the film production business and when he first saw all the vids he said they were productions with actors.  Think about it why would secretive China show the world any of this?  They control all media. I think the answer is obvious.

300 cases in 10 days? An average of 30 cases per day? By U.S. standards, that would be the end of this pandemic -- we're finding over 20,000 new cases per day.

Due to its surveillance apparatus and political structure, China has the strongest contract tracing and isolation system in the world. If anyone can stop an outbreak quickly, it's China.

If you get a chance to see the film 76 Days you can get a glimpse into life under a Chinese lockdown. That could never happen in the West (fingers crossed).

And yet China is "pouring resources" into trying to get an mRNA vaccine. Hmm.  

 

Chinese state media recently quoted Abogen founder Ying Bo saying that third-phase human trials of China’s indigenous mRNA prototype have been underway in Mexico, Columbia and Pakistan since the end of May. 

He added that the People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) Academy of Military Medical Sciences in Beijing had also lent talent and poured in resources into the project.

Not at all. I would rather look upon the issue with a balanced outlook rather then one completely biased to the left or right. I do believe however that America's time as the world's policemen and strongest economy is coming to an end.
