“This completely dares the power of Patong police officers. Foreigners are not afraid of Thai laws. They even dared to spray messages on the footpath

Not a surprise now-a-days. Phuket & Pattaya doesn't belongs to Thais anymore. Foreigners have bought over everything with their buying power...$$$$$$$...makes the difference.

Foreigners didn't take Pattaya and Phuket away, Thailand systematically gave it away by excessively pandering to the foreign tourism market in the quest for maximum profits

Trouble is 5000THB fine is no big deal for most foreigners but is a big deal for most Thais. Maybe all foreigners breaking the law in Thailand should be automatically deported as well as the fine to even things up.

Or add another layer to the dual pricing so prevalent in the country?  Fines should be at least 10x what a Thai would pay in the same instance.

That is a wonderfu suggestion. They can follow the way the charge to Foreigners to enter their national park. Just add one more "zero"

Then we will have corrupt cops threatening foreigners with deportation for minor or imaginary offences.

That’s racist so it’ll work fine here.

They were brazen. Didn’t care that others might be watching/recording. Tagging, is a blight on society and whilst ubiquitous where I come it’s relatively rare here.  A fine 10, 000 baht and visa cancellation sounds about right. Anything more is heavy handed.

I like Finland’s model for meting out fines. Certainly the most equitable.

They just need to ceck, if the guys behind H R D S H T are in Thailand, right now.

Looks more like ro capitalize in the music if the duo with this name, on Tim Tok.

Since many are asking google for the meaning of these 6 letters and perhaps following up by listening.

So, if these culprits are the 2 indians, od or other indians, Thai law shoukb be a bit extended, here:

Nit 5000 Baht alone, but in top 30 days in a real government accomodation  ;-)
