This really is shortsighted idiocy.

They are NEVER going to be able to establish a caliphate, as they wish, and they sure as hell aren't going to win over anyone to their side by consistently burning, killing and bombing.

This is probably the most under reported insurgency in the world.  More than 7,000 have been killed and more than 14,000 injured.  In any other part of the world this would be headlining the news and generating discussion.

Thailand isn't going to let them secede and Malaysia stated long ago they don't want them, even if they were cut loose.

They always call them ‘insurgents’ which they are but why not call them for what they truly are muslim terrorists! Unfortunately it’s the same problem the world over always the same so called. ‘religion of peace’

Some would argue that there is a genocide.

Just  repeating what self appointed western experts have said. Their expertise derives from their studying of poly sci, restorative justice and social activism.
