I was  shocked by the large number of employees at the local  Market Village outlet - at least 10. They were running a promotion and I received a  quality umbrella for spending 500 baht.  The store is addictive, more so than Daiso. They have everything you want or don't want but will impulse buy. Lots of disposable plastic things to use for the house, but I can see the  advantage for young families as they have a nice stationary and school supply section.
