Ouch! Now he has to prove that all his assets were bought with clean, taxed money. He can erase witnesses but erasing a paper trail is much, much harder.

Back in September, when this story first gained some coverage it was stated that he had 5 houses, ostensibly rented from a "family friend" who wasn't actually family.  Two of those he rented for he and his father and the other three were rented for subordinates.

Apparently his mother-in-law is quite wealthy, so he says he has no need to be involved in illicit money from gambling sites.

So, we are back where we were then.  Is it persecution or prosecution?

This could be his past actions in which he might have misstepped into someone's territory...intentionally or unintentionally. He was rising up very fast in the media with some of his actions in the past, which gave him much reputations among the public and everyone approach him for everything. Also not to forget about the German minor sex scandal testimony video. Those things might have created some distress among the team as some might felt that their territory is affected. As everyone knows each others' back. It is easy for them to fix it. He failed to realize the saying...."You scratch my back and I scratch yours"

Again and again it seems to be shown that corruption of one sort or another are pre requisites of becoming a police officer in Thailand. If you were not corrupt none of the other police officers would trust you.
