The Thais already fly both fighters in earlier versions so the transition will be easy and cost effective. Nice to see they gave up on the unrealistic desire to buy F-35s, something they don't need and probably can't afford. I don't think they can go wrong with either fighter. That said the Gripin has some unique features which should give it a leg up but there is a geo-political advantage in buying the F-16. Flip a coin and you can't go wrong whichever side lands up.
