It's absolutely rife in Thailand

I don't know many women that haven't been abused

Just yesterday my stepson's best friend

I'm reticent to divulge this

But my stepson hit his GF last year

She was a horrible person and he came to us and admitted it, we didn't just find out about it

The thing is my wife almost justfied it.

Saying that she said really bad stuff about me and my wife

I told my wife "I don't give a f*ck" what some 22yr old girl, or anyone, has to say about me

I was in Canada and he was in Bangkok

I sent him a message telling him if I were in Thailand I would kick the shit out of him.

I told him if it ever happens again, he's dead to me, I will never have a relationship with him again.

And I ridiculed him like I've never ridiculed anyone in my life.

I didn't let it slide either

A few after when I saw him in person I sat him down and had at him again.....

It's despicable

Almost every single Thai female I have known has been abused in one way or another, a good friend of mine who had four children with this Thai guy told me that one night he held her down and poured toilet cleaner down her throat, she was hospitalized and barely survived, it seems to me that a lot, I’m sure not all, but a lot of Thai males are taught to behave like animals to women from an early age. The other thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of women are left on their own once the guy realizes he’s responsible for their children and can’t cope.

I've met a number of single mothers, aunts, etc. that raise the children because the father was, at heart, just a deadbeat and left.

I don't know any of them that have married again because it seems Thai men aren't keen on raising and spending for children that aren't theirs.

I don't know any of them that actually get child support.  My wife, who had two kids from her first marriage,  told the court when getting divorced that "dad" didn't need to support the kids, and as a result should stay away.

I saw the guy once, on my step-daughter's 8th birthday (she's 24 now) and he wasn't welcome then by her or any of us.  Never saw him again.  I've supported the kids and given them tremendous advantages and opportunities they'd never have otherwise.
