I've seen the inside of a local jail, as a visitor, not a detainee, and it's definitely not The Ritz.  It makes you wonder why he would opt for that, for at least the next 12 days, instead of going home with his wife.

Any sane person would do the exact opposite of what this guy is doing. But then he smashed a 58 years old woman's face in the first place, does not sound sane to me. Maybe he is trying to make a point by going to jail willingly, not cooperating with the police, refusing the Swiss Ambassy's help,... And if it is, it can only be an insane point. Whichever way you look at it, this guy looks pretty insane to me.

As the man said, "Were  you there? The evidence is there, let the course of the law take its route. We have no idea what provoked such a horrible attack. We all hope the lady has a successful recovery, the scars may heal but the memory will always be there.
