He "dated" her online for five years? And gave her 4 million baht after listening to her sob stories? He never even had a video call with her, but only saw pictures that she shared, that turned out not to be her, at all.

Considering all the press that romance scams get, it's amazing people still fall for them.

This can’t be real. No one….absolutely no one could be this…naive ….foolish….ok, OK, Stupid.  A monumental Loser.    But then this scammer must be very, very good to pull this off without having to “provide” physical contact, or what is called a honey trap. She should run for office.

Is it any worse than farang getting married to a Thai girl 30 years younger than him and everyone but him knowing it's not a real marriage and all the red flags are so clear yet he's the only one who doesn't see it?

Is it any different anywhere in the world? Just because Thai women are better looking doesnt make it any different, except maybe a bit cheaper than spending the money in a cold snowed place they got to go to a nice tropical place and lose their money, better than losing it at home in the ice and snow like some do
