I guess the Kiwi visitors are not spending enough in Thailand so Thailand doesn't want them. Mind you most of these large Chinese tour groups spend practically nothing in Thailand yet the Thais are bending over backwards for them. It is becoming very clear that China will soon be running Thailand.

The Prime Minister’s Office spokesperson, Chai Watchaong, shared that Thailand granted visa-free access to 60 countries in 2023 and plans to expand this to more countries in the future to boost Thai tourism. New Zealand is not included in the plan to stimulate tourism of the Thai government.
