Well...in all projects that China is involved....every bolt and nut comes from China and the money flows back only leaving a trail. As such no money is retained locally to develop local economy. This is the olden days tactics used by the British when they go around stealing other countries' wealth.

And the Roman Empire. All those road building efforts were just a waste of money that didn’t stand the test of time. 😉

You can bet your life that all the track materials are manufactured in China despite Thailand having steel mills & manufacturing facilities! That's the price you pay for Chinese partnered projects and that helps keep their economic wheels turning while yours are faltering!

Only going to profit Chinese industry anyway. Certainly won't be many Thai businesses making anything that is a 'joint' project.
