Surely if the Black Bamboo has been open/trading as normal, and has been full of folk/raking in the 1000's of Baht when the rest of the nation's beer-bars have been closed by order for months now, then some 'organisation' on the island has allowed this to happen..?

It reminds of Mad Max 3 (Thunderdome) when 'Aunty' (Tina Turner) asks the population "Who runs Bartertown"? 

 So who runs Samui? (Yes we think we may know the answer to that one,..& it's not any BKK-based ruling institution).

I do also feel sorry for the inhabitants of Samui that have all been put at risk because of this.

Lets hope this puts a stop to that stupid Samui + thingy. None of these are working and they keep going on with it for face only. Also its good to clear out the nomads and youtubers from Samui. They are all living in a dream bubble ignoring what goes on outside. Ignorant AF.

I guess that happens on every Island. There are some bars/clubs whatever who encourage the police not to come by. A few thousand baht can work wonders. This is how it works. Same with weed etc. It is a give and take situation. At the end, they all together provide a service for the tourists. That is it.
What this report did not mention is the vaccination situation.
I guess, there where a lot of people without vaccination. And this needs to be looked into.
At the end, the tourists don't give a f*** about Covid anymore, because they are already vaccinated twice.
But there needs to be a bit more pressure to have a certain degree of vaccination within the locals (Thai + Farang). When there are enough people vaccinated - especially the people at risk, then nobody does not need to give a f*ck about Covid anymore. Every bar and club and massage studio then can open 24h every day. Vaccinate the people, Open everything.

Do you know who is in charge for that? After realize that then you know why there is a big mess about vaccination in Thailand and all this other mess and they are not able to listen or have any competence.
