All this talk about taking steps to boost tourism is Bull ! A couple months ago the government announced that citizens from the USA and Canada would be getting extended tourist visas, from 30 days to 90, to boost tourism .  Nothing, Nada,  Nein.  As usual, everything  starts in the mouth and ends up exiting the “other” end.

Just short-sighted thinking on the part of a government that really doesn't have a plan to stimulate its own economy.

Rather than plan and invest in the skills and education that would move this country forward, albeit over a longer time, they only rely on the never-ending well-spring of foreign currency...tourism, which isn't going to save Thailand.
