Chinese travelling for vacation during Chinses New Year?  Are TAT officials out of their minds. Every Chinese will tavel back to their home to celebrate with their family. That is the tradition for geneations. May be the non-chinese will travel from counties around to Thailand to kill the holidays as it falls on weekends. But that is mostly confined to Southern Thailand.
