That's one of the key reasons I'm coming from March - April. At home we're covered in snow with temperatures averaging -15 to -20 Celsius. I'd rather be scorching than freezing!

I'd much rather take -15 C than 44.5 C

Freezing you can combat and be warm

You can't combat 44.5 C

No combat necessary - just go with it! 🧉

44.5 is insane, especially with how the sun is in Thailand

You won't be able to be outside for very long

Give me jeans, boots, a nice jacket and scarf and gloves any day over that

Well we are all different. I could not live another single day somewhere where it is -15 no matter how dressed I am, and if you are on the beach in Thailand, it never feels 44C for sure, there is always a nice breeze and the sea to cool you down nicely (and cold beers too of course) - but yes though, I very doubt I will visit the country side of Isaan (for example) between Feb and May.

Yes of course, everyone is different

I'm perfectly happy in - C weather

But 44 C is insanely hot, no matter if you are on the beach with a breeze

Air-con gas in car topped up.

Air-cons in house will be serviced next week.

Central Shopping/Lotus/restaurants ten mins drive away all fully air-con.

Move my daily walk to 7pm.

No problem, it would be a lot different if I had to work or do anything physical in that heat.

But weather in any case can not be predicted weeks or months ahead, it can in general due to seasons but not in detail.

I remember in London in 2022 it got up to 33C for a week, it was horrible with no air-con in the house.

During the winter of 2022 it got down to maybe -1 C in London, easy to cope with.

I once visited Toronto, it was -27C, I went from car to restaurant to hotel, too cold for me to deal with.

But that's my point, it never goes up that much on the beach because of the sea breeze. Between my house and the beach 400m away, I can already feel the difference. And between the island where I live and the country side in the north, you certainly would.

I am a old person who has witnessed many weather predictions and just about everyone of them become false. Just like all of the climate catastrophic predictions of a global freeze and a ozone melt down to so many things that the ice caps in the artic will melt and flooding of many beaches and islands disappearing

So I will just wait and see and not to panic like the government and elites will want you to be scared and follow their instructions. Just like the covid and masks and the vaccine. Masks did not stop people from getting covid and the vaccine has a lot of side effects as myocarditis and how about having natural immunity they didn't believe in that

Yes it will continue to get hot for the next few months including the horrible month of May where it will be as the Sun news paper would say. 'scorcheo'.

But to predict now what the temperatures will be is impossible, we can just say it will be hotter than now as it is every year.

I normally walk on the beach everyday here in Phuket, I wear a short sleeved shirt down to the elbow, long shorts down to the knees, too much sun is bad.

I see tourists who have been fooled by the cool sea breeze as they lay in the sun in their swimming gear and I can imagine when they get in the shower in a few hours time those red burned shoulder will make them cry out in pain.

It will be worse for them during Many etc when it really gets hot.

On the other hand, an equal number find it easier to stay comfortable from the heat than to stay warm from the frigid cold. Toss of the dice.....there's no [invented] standard as to what measures a comfort zone for some and not others.

It's why the Good Lord invented Air Conditioning. I rarely go out in those temperatures, unless to go from my aircon house, to my aircon car and then the aircon in the Malls or an aircon restaurant. The outside temperature is largely irrelevant.

Thailand is bracing for hotter weather, is it?  Exactly how is the country doing so? Foolish statement.  They aren't doing anything.

I've lived in subzero temps and I've lived in 50+ temps, when you just go from a/c house to a/c car to a/c workplace to a/c shopping and entertainment.

I'll take the warm over the cold but wills still spend those hotter hours inside with the a/c on.

Yeah 3 years ago we had 44 it was to funny watching my cousin soak his shoes in water to walk on the roof to change some tiles.

Temps go up and they go down its happened for millions of years.

I think they got 50 in south australia a few years ago.

I hate Air Conditioning

Obviously I enjoy it when it's super hot but in general I hate it

It's not natural for the body

Contrary to what I've been saying I actually don't mind the heat, in the day time

Can be hot as it wants, I actually like getting a nice sweat on in walks/hikes

I just hate the heat at night if going out for a nice evening and trying to sleep

I guess we'd better enjoy the cooler weather while it lasts.
It's really quite pleasant at the moment. Especially at night and early morning.

But 44.5 degrees is going to be unbearable. Sure there's air-con, but I hate being cooped up inside all day, I need fresh air at some point.

I find once it gets to mid-30's here it really is starting to get uncomfortable.

I am fine up to 35 C

Much more than that isn't pleasant at all
