Main reason I left Thailand. And oddly enough it is never mentioned in the reviews of retiring in The LOS's.

Got to say, if that is the main reason for you leaving this tropical paradise, it was clearly never the place for you. It's not mentioned much, because it's largely irrelevant to those considering moving here.  Although I live within a few Km of Pattaya, (30) the air here is pretty clear and we never seem to experience  high levels pf pollution, unless there is a strong inversion in place, as it's a none burning area and traffic volumes are fairly low. I imagine that out of the Cities and away from the notorious burning areas of the more northerly Provinces, it will be much the same as here.

Spent 10 years there full time. Had a great time. Very hard decision to make, but my health is number one priority. Have a great life.

Thailand is nothing. Go to India or Nepal and youll get a good sniff of PM2.5.

Can’t see how anyone would leave because of it.
