It seems the world over people are getting attacked and bystanders do nothing? Why is that? I walked by a side soi some ten years ago now and I heard someone in trouble so I turned and walked down a little way to find a large (western) type guy holding a young slim Thai girl about 16 years old by the throat against the wall I immediately intervened, he let the girl go when I punched him in the face and I think broke his nose, we went at it for a few seconds before he ran off, I ended up with a beautiful black eye but believe I saved her from probably getting raped or worse, the young girl was sobbing and thanking me she couldn’t speak English so I never did find out what really went on but I’m glad I stepped in that day. I would always step in if people are being attacked especially women and girls but in today’s modern society it seems the norm is to look away and mind your own business.

The audio in the video is suggesting, either the woman or the attacker 's a ladyboy. My guess, the screaming was from the victim.

So it is a double hate crime, then?

Btw, that no one stops that is a daily observable thing. Since often , in case couples in life are having trouble like this on the road, they both turn on to the helper, if someone tries to "help". And in case it was/is a gathoy,  the best, safest thing is: to stay away.

Sorry, jm2c

Sukhumvit Soi 81 is right by On Nut BTS station and sports some high-end hotels and condominiums. And I counted 5 bike riders passing by, including 2 taxi drivers. And in the video it's clear that first he hits her in the head from the back and then he tries to grab her bag.

Instead of secrecy, they should make an example out of these two scumbags and charge them with the maximum penalties (i.e. if she was stabbed in the neck, that's attempted manslaughter). This is really bad news for BKK, imagine if the video makes the rounds in some target countries.
