Let's be honest crop burning in the north has contributed little to this year's pollution . Bangkok was already under a pollution cloud of its own making with heavy traffic and tall buildings disrupting air follow. 

Every year crop burning is blamed and it's BS as the issue is the city structure its self.  I live in Isaan and the crop burning is almost no existent at the moment as the harvest is still being brought in.

It’s a start, no doubt. However, there are many moving parts to this problem. None the least, the fires unrelated to farming practices.
