Who on Earth got the idea that fish eat complex cabohydrates?  The bread will end up being food for mold, bacteria and algae.

They will eat it, although it is not that good for them - just the same as feeding bread to ducks, pigeons and so on, it is a poor and sometimes harmful source of nutrition for them. But you are right in that most of it will end up rotting away at the bottom of the ponds.

Also would depend highly on the quality of said loaves, most of which of the commercial and other promoted varieties can't suck enough.
