Its expensive to sleep in Singapore, just sleep over the border, and use the land crossing. Though she is obviously expensive, relative to Thailand, she isn't too expensive by British standards. At least not in my experience, as a brief visitor there.

Johor Bahru has some very good 4 star hotels, reasonably priced, less than half the same standard in Singapore, so I agree. Travel time could be inconvenient, just depends what motivations in visiting are.

Its a diferent experience, but not a place I'd love to spend eternity. The city feels very clean yet at the same time, inefficicent through its over-orderliness. Case in point is tge homeless people I saw.

The city is nice for zoo lovers. And there are beaches there. But Sentosa where the main atteactions are, feels too much like the USA. Well if I wanted Caucasian, I'd get that at home.
