I hope the Russian vessel is not dumping its raw sewage into the Pattaya waters. Unlike western navies which follow strict rules in respect to the protection of the environment, some navies still dump untreated ballast, raw sewage and garbage at sea. Russia is not a nation known for its respect for the natural environment.

A bit of an observation  here, which tells it's own story. In two parts. Stay with me, as it's relevant to your comment. The UK Royal Air Force teach that as soon as you are airborne in any kind of fast jet, you always, but always fly tactical formations, that is close pairs or close stream  take offs, formation departures and arrivals, to run and break, battle formations in transit.  It's just good instinctive training for the real thing. The US and European Air Forces do the same.  Cut to Thailand's Flying Club.  I live on the approach path to U Tapao Airport, which often hosts F16 from Udon.  They arrive in ones and twos, depart the same way and I have yet to see them fly any kind of tactical formation.  In effect, they are all over the sky. That is just poor training, as they would not survive a day in combat flying that way.

No Surprise. Good Empirical Observational Proof Example of Endemic Military Incompetence.

Reminds me of the blowhard Arabs in both Gulf Wars. No Western Forces wanted anything to do with them.

Thailand never fought and won any serious war since defeating the woeful remnants of the bow & spear armed unmilitary Khmers around 1400 ad……. Thailand has no enemies and never will. Protected by US anyway. . Like Costa Rica it shouldn’t have any Military. All for stupid macho pride & show. And use ( snipers) against their own unarmed peaceful brave student protesters, who remain the only hope for this useless broken despicable culture & country.

Exactly I always it said flying club! For elites or training ground for Thai airways? Making a lot of noise with f-16 and. Thailand wanted f-35 US turned them away! To use for what fighting Burma? has no use for they Thai needs  practical aircraft for border security, patrol search rescue, and humanitarian relief.
