I’ve had a guy on Sukhumvit road approach me twice, he is always with his wife and a child in a push chair he just holds out his hand and says “I’m from Syria” as if that’s reason enough I should give him money?  I just ignore him if I am to give money to anybody it will be to the local Thai people not to beggars who come here expecting free handouts.

I went to Nana area on Thursday night

It will probably be my last time on lower Suk

All Indian and Arab customers

They aren't my cup of tea but that's not the worst

Walking from Nana to Soi 15 there was well over 100+ shady African guys hanging on the street

Shady African prostitutes everywhere

I usually stay by the river and I like being on Sukhumvit in the Soi 20-24 area

But how long before the shady Africans start going down that way??

I don't understand the economics of it

There is no way those Africans are doing enough business to pay off the police

It seems strange. Must be bribes paid to police In most counties if forign gangs came in the locals would fight them off.  But these shady guys do they bother you? They never look at me, try to sell drug. I only remember one or two times an African lady and maybe a middle eastern lady in a hiding in a headscarf grabbed my arm.  Thai ladies do that every time  or ladyboys "I go with you".  Very funny.

They must think you are a cop 5555

Because they pretty much ask every single person that walks by

And yes they do bother me

I said so above

The African guys seem to be growing in number, there are lots of them now, they just hang around in small groups asking if you want them to supply you with drugs? It’s not a good look for Thailand generally, I just ignore them but wouldn’t want to meet them somewhere more secluded so to speak, Where are the police? Oh wait a minute this is Thailand.
As for the African ladies they are growing in numbers too I’ve had a few grab my arm and say ‘come with me’ I’m sure the Thai ladies can’t be too happy about the situation.
