There's a pick up not far from my house that is so bereft of tread on the tyres that they look like F1 slicks. So much for annual inspections, as it does have a valid tax doc on the windscreen. It's not the only one I've seen around.  Add sxxt Chinese tyres and numerous retreads,  and you have the makings of accidents like this one.  Not that we yet know the state of the tyres, but blowouts  just don't happen to correctly inflated, legal ones.

Yep. Retreads should be outlawed. I’ve seen a pick up end up on its roof in a ditch after it blew out a retread and caused the driver to lose control. Fortunately there was none in the back and the driver and passenger walked away. As an avid cyclist I dread this shit.

And the fact that there were 23 people in (and on the back) one pickup!
Im no expert in tyres, but i can imagine that that's also to much weight.
And its crazy that it is allowed to have people in the bed of your pickup.
