Why are these people failing to see themselves in the mirror. Are they really wearing the necessary rider protection when riding the motorcycle? Again...how bright is the motorcycle light to ride at night? If the motorcycle light is not bright enough, just add in some spot light to the motorcycle if night riding is frequent. No point in always blaming others, when the rider themselves are not taking care for their own safety

" He claimed that the area was shrouded in darkness due to insufficient street lighting, which made it difficult for him to spot Supaporn as she emerged from Soi Chaloem Phra Kiat 11, leading to the unfortunate crash"

Both wearing high vis clothing? No of course not. Headlights adequate for night driving? Probably not. Driving at the appropriate speed for the much reduced visibility?  Almost certainly not.

I have driven motorcycles down streets with NO street lighting at all without mishap as I was driving at speeds appropriate to how far I could see. It is NOT the lack of lighting that is to blame but rather the lack of awareness of the riders.

I rode there on that day and noticed the lighting was terrible, I guess there was some kind of outage, hopefully not some deliberate decision... Really thought something bad was bound to happen, seeing how there is already no shortage of ugly crashes there under normal conditions

This is a very busy and rather fast flowing road in the middle of the city, decent lightning is necessary and it ordinarily is very well lit. You cant blame it on them not wearing road workers clothing.

Sunday night I was heading home late, about two am, at that time there are less street lights on down the soi where I live, when a motorcycle passed me going at speed with a guy and two girls on the bike, they had no helmets, dark clothing, the front light was no better than a child’s torch and the rear light was nonexistent, tragedy is that it’s not that uncommon.

If you are a motorcyclist anywhere in the world and do not do everything possible to make yourself visible to other road users you are making yourself more vulnerable.
