Thaiger Talk Quiz #302 - Food in Isaan
4/5… I have tried them all (all pretty good) except for the tadpole one, which I had never heard of. My father-in-law, from Ubon, catches frogs when it rains and makes a good tom yam with them, I would say the taste is somewhere between chicken and fish. One day, my wife was cooking soup and she went and plucked a big leaf from a tree, which was crawling with ants. She then went and shook it over the pot and in they fell. It gives it an interesting, acidulous taste.- 1
