Now that it was just reduced for last month giving relief they are scheming how to sock it to us again? But this is far more than the last time. My electricity bill will be 8000 or more if this happens.

To me, it’s a hugely bad optic to “give” a reduced tariff, then turn around and “take” it back.

Kind of like how some businesses did during covid- they boosted pay *temporarily* during covid- but took it back at the end.. but.. the optic were only on the “take back” part or wage cut.. not on the fact that it was never meant to be a permanent story.

I think if they’re going to use a floating FT, then they need to be crystal clear that is floats.. and the figure can and will fluctuate and that whatever it comes to is what the rate will be for that period.. i think once you start artificially suppressing it, once that artificial suppression ends, there’ll be no talk about how good it was while it was artificially lower, only the fact that it’s now higher.

Well, if it goes to 6 baht that is a tremendous increase. Even the ninth before my bill was averaging 7k. Way too high.

Thing is my aircon runs 24/7 at this time of year. What I have realised is that if you leave it set at a temperature of your choice but on a low fan speed the bill works out much better. Switching it on and off costs more because it has to reduce the temperature of all the walls and floors all over again. This way it just keeps ticking over with low power demands.

Not sure I am explaining that right. But it does work.
