News Forum - Minimum wage decision delayed after employer reps’ no-show
What a great system (not) where all the employers representatives need to do to stop this from progressing is to fail to turn up for a meeting! "In related news, hoteliers in Thailand express concern that raising the daily minimum wage to 400 baht exclusively for large employers could disrupt the job market in the hotel sector. This pay disparity may attract workers to larger hotels, leaving smaller establishments struggling to retain staff." Seems to me there is nothing stopping the 'smaller establishments' paying 400 baht and therefore not losing their employees! -
