China floods - scope of damage and death toll unclear

Watched this on social media and BBC and the extent of damage and destruction is incredible. Now it seems those storms are moving West South West across China and into India but the worrying thing is, although 2000 kms away is that the rivers discharge into the Mekong so watch out for flood warning end of August /September possibly

We may never hear the final death toll although it was expected 1,000's died in just one 4km long tunnel choked with traffic and filled with water.

China's dams on the Mekong are a big worry for both Laos and Isaan towns in the down stream.

Laos is an issue for Thailand and Vietnam. They too have dams, a whole series of them.
