Why would a snake wrap around him, since you can't constrict a dead body, or indeed, be able to wrap around the dead weight of an adukt human body body, already lying on the ground?

The snake was only 2 meters so eating the body wouldn’t have been possible but snakes will eat recently dead carrion and sometimes will constrict already deceased prey more out of instinct than anything else, maybe it was just hungry and fancied its chances of a free meal?
