The Bhat bus is a great idea, it saves everyone time and money. It’s cuts down on pollution and traffic in these areas. But it needs to continue from the airport to Rawai. I commend the committee for approving this!

The baht buss concept is intended for short trips. This is why it is so successful in Hua Hin and Pattaya. Hua Hin use is  mostly locals except for the hotel/ condo strip from the overpass near the Ibis to the night market/fish strip where it is packed with tourists. The baht bus is a major source of revenue for the markets at either end of the main route. Pattaya's baht system is the one strong positive about the place and it makes the city accessible to most people.  My gripe is that 40 baht is excessive. Try 20 baht, but I suppose the  tuktuk mobsters are already opposed. I anticipate that the mob will try and sabotage this as it cuts into the 400 baht fares for 1 km drives.

No. it isn't intended for airport routes. It would be impossible to serve the route profitably. They would lose money. Airport passengers  with their luggage would monopolize space and preclude the hop on hop off passengers. The airport passengers should use conventional land transportation.
